Total Points
The Buccaneers won 34–20, embarrassing Joe Barry’s defence. This is the tale of our game.

Quarterfinal: Packers 20, Buccaneers 34

That momentous occasion already mentioned? Nothing in sight. For a 26-yard touchdown, Baker Mayfield connected with running back Rachaad White. When White caught a pass up the seam, he looked exactly like a receiver. He even fooled Rudy Ford by going unnoticed for the 14 yards that followed the reception. With tight end Cade Otton blocking Ford as part of the convoy, Green Bay handed up an 18-yard toss to Mike Evans for a third-and-6 conversion and a third-and-12 to Chris Godwin on an all-too-easy receiver screen.

Mayfield is killing it for the Packers. With two touchdowns and 251 yards, he is 16 of 20. It’s been a month since he last threw for that many yards.

Packers 10, Buccaneers 13 (with 14:21 remaining)

The Packers’ miserable second-half start began with a three-and-out. Calijah Kancey’s rush on Jordan Love foiled a first-down shot play. Jordan Love threw incomplete on third-and-7 as Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed were in close proximity; Tucker Kraft was wide open for a simple conversion.

Hence, after being completely destroyed in the first half, this is a huge moment for Green Bay’s defence.

Buccaneers 13, Packers 10 at halftime

In the first half, the Buccaneers have amassed 211 yards. Unlike last time, the run defence isn’t the issue.

In the first half, the Buccaneers have amassed 211 yards. Unlike last time, the run defence isn’t the issue. Instead, it’s the way the Packers have replicated Tom Brady’s appearance with Baker Mayfield. Chris Godwin is destroying the defence with seven receptions for 108 yards, while Mayfield is 12-of-14 for 187 yards.

For the Packers, Aaron Jones, who just returned off injured reserve, has rushed nine times for 43 yards, while Jordan Love is 11 of 14 when passing. Kingsley Enagabre’s sack-strip, which created the opportunity for Love’s 5-yard scoring pass to Tucker Kraft, was the source of Green Bay’s lone touchdown.

The second half will begin with the ball going to the Packers.

Second Quarter: 10 seconds left, Buccaneers 13, Packers 10.

The Buccaneers took the lead thanks to a 46-yard field goal by Chase McLaughlin.

The Packers at least turned the field, but as they were getting close to middle, a delay-of-game penalty on third-and-6 proved fatal. Jordan Love found receiver Jayden Reed on a crossing route on third-and-11; Reed was tackled by safety Kaevon Merriweather and linebacker Lavonte David and entered the blue medical tent during the commercial break.

Buccaneers 10, Packers 10 (5:31 left)

When Baker Mayfield was about to complete a pass, Kenny Clark struck him, weaving around guard Cody Mauch to force a three-and-out for the Packers. It was the first incomplete pass of the match for Mayfield. The Packers are down at the four after punter Jake Camarda’s 65-yard bomb landed with the spin of a PGA Tour player’s wedge.

Seven minutes remain, Packers 10, Buccaneers 10.

The work of Anders Carlson

Packers rookie receiver Jayden Reed is prepared to break past the rookie wall, even though it exists.

He described it as “definitely pretty sore” this week. That’s just the nature of things. Every week, you simply have to take physical hits and then come back and just get ready. You only need to become an expert, show up each week, understand how to manage and take care of your body, and keep helping yourself for the upcoming week.

Reed has endured numerous injuries while playing. He was having trouble with his ankle after the Giants game. He had a secret weapon in his recuperation because of his lover.

“I usually wear some boots that I have.”

Jim Carter was a middle linebacker who was tough but underappreciated.

Jim Carter, a tough and effective middle linebacker for the Green Bay Packers for eight years who never got the credit he deserved while carrying the weight of replacing a legend, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23 from cancer.

Carter was 75 years old.

1970 saw the draft selection of Carter in the third round, who a year later took the starting middle linebacker spot from the beloved and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Nitschke. Carter’s first-year coach, Dan Devine, put him in at middle linebacker for the first team during training camp 1971 after he impressed during an April minicamp in Arlington, Texas.

Two days prior to the start of the season, Carter sustained a hamstring injury, despite having secured the position during the six-game preseason at the time. Carter permanently replaced Nitschke the following week after he started the first game, a 42-40 loss to the New York Giants.

At that point, Carter was the better player of the two and should have been hired, according to Dave Hanner, the Packers’ defensive coordinator at the time.

According to Hanner, “He was tougher and could get through trash,” during a 2005 interview. “(Nitschke) was experiencing issues with chopped blocks and other things. His demeanour was less combative. He could run, but he was not the same when it came to direction changes. There would be harm to him. That was how we all felt.
