LATEST NEWS: Paul Krause, a legend among the Vikings… and the ultimate Man Cave

As the traditional Minnesota Vikings offseason approaches its yearly gloom, many of us settle into our routine Sunday slots, hoping that one of our teams will lose (cough, Kansas City, cough) or simply lounging around to enjoy the final day before the grind resumes.

That is, of course, assuming you continue to work.

Another gloomy winter’s day in the southern Minnesota plains, and Vikings legend Paul Krause was kind enough to show Fox 9’s cameras around a standard sheet-metal structure.

At the outset, Krause laughs heartily and says, “This is a man cave to be proud of. It’s a work of art, by god.” At first glance, one would never guess that it was a fully furnished 12,000 square foot football shrine/classics garage combo.

Overflowing with jerseys, footballs, helmets and other mementos from his NFL career, Krause’s building doubled as a museum and a place to watch the game.

Krause has an incredible stat line worthy of a Hall of Famer, with over 1100 interception return yards, three pick sixes, three fumbles recovered, and an all-time career high of 81 interceptions. Krause’s misadventures are no secret to those of us who wear purple and gold, so

With the rightful smiles of a child with a full wallet in a candy store, Krause jokes with the news crew, “It would take 3 days to show you everything.”

The idea that there are essentially an infinite number of stories kept under that roof is undeniably immeasurable and is possibly the best aspect of the report.
