GOOD NEWS:Top Trade Assets for the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 Offseason: Christian Watson, Kenny Clark

Considering that they have the youngest roster in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers’ success this season has shocked a lot of people. The fact is that the squad can still improve, even if it means parting ways with Christian Watson and Kenny Clark.

The most important thing to remember about this is that Jordan Love will be the Packers’ most important player come football season. Having served as the team’s starting quarterback for his first full season following Aaron Rodgers’ trade, the 25-year-old is unquestionably this franchise’s future quarterback.

Although Love’s critical error prevented the San Francisco 49ers from winning the NFC, his season-long development makes it imperative to quickly develop around him. Naturally, it means acquiring young talent through the 2024 NFL Draft, in which Green Bay will have eight draft selections available.

The Packers may also sign important players from other clubs straight away in free agency. However, there will undoubtedly be some roster changes to make way for these players.

Christian Watson and Kenny Clark are expected to be traded by the Green Bay Packers in the 2024 offseason.

When the offseason begins, the Packers are expected to have exactly this line of thinking. Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department wrote the following in an article:

“If he isn’t moved, veteran left tackle David Bakhtiari will probably be dismissed. Over the last three seasons, he has only played in 13 games due to knee ailments, despite being 33 years old. Although Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets may be the only teams in Bakhtiari’s market, Green Bay would be stupid to pass on a contract, according to the NFL Scouting Department of Bleacher Report.

Even though Bakhtiari is the most well-known, the following men can be in higher demand than he is.

Kenny Clark, a defensive lineman, is an excellent player, but he is nearing the end of his contract. In addition to saving $21 million in cap space, moving him after June 1 would probably yield a higher return than Bakhtiari. Christian Watson, a receiver and 2022 second-round choice, has lost favour in the offence as Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, two young pass-catchers, have advanced. It’s worthwhile to see if another team is prepared to take a chance on Watson’, the report continued.

It may benefit the Packers in the summer to deal these three guys, especially Clark and Watson. Green Bay will have a superior roster than it has today if it manages its cards well throughout that time. The Jordan Love-squad could triumph in the process and once again take the world by surprise by making it to the Super Bowl.
