“Agreed” to trade Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets in the NFL

The long-rumored Aaron Rodgers trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets has finally been finalised. As part of the transaction, the Packers are expected to receive a first-round pick this year, a second-round pick this year (both on Friday), and a first-round pick in 2024 on condition.

Reports state that an agreement has been reached to trade Green Pay Packers quarterback and four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.

According to Ian Rapoport, Rodgers, 39, is asking for “major compensation” in the move, which happens after a protracted period of rumours.

A first-round draft pick for this year, a second-round pick for this year, and a conditional first-round pick in 2024 are reportedly also included in the deal.

In this week’s draft, the Jets and Packers are trading first-round selections, enabling the Packers to advance two positions to No. 13.

In addition, Green Bay will receive No. 42 overall, one of the Jets’ two second-round selections, a 2023 sixth-round selection, and a conditional 2024 second-round selection that becomes a first if Aaron Rodgers plays 65 percent of the offensive snaps for the Jets in the upcoming season.

Green Bay selected the 15th overall pick, while the Packers selected a fifth-round pick to the Jets.

In order to assist the Jets overcome their enduring quarterback problem and go to the postseason, Rodgers has been brought in.
