With a tattoo, Lions supporter, A player has permanently marked his Super Bowl pick.

Michigan’s Allen Park (WWJ) – One fan of the Detroit Lions is displaying unshakeable faith in his favourite club as they prepare for Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Alex Chepeska, a Lions fan, has permanently inked his prediction that the team would win the NFL this year in the Super Bowl.

Chepeska remarked, “I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.”

Before the team’s 12-5 winning season, the Lions fan claims he received the tattoo in August of last year.

A week prior to the opening preseason game, I received this. It’s happening, I knew they were doing it,” he remarked. “The majority of people have been supportive, but there are some haters out there.”

Naturally, as the Lions have continued to win, Chepeska has been receiving more and more recognition for his prediction.

He stated, “More people are joining on the longer it goes.”

Linebacker Alex Anzaone of the Lions says the fan base has been very supportive, and today is no different.

A tattoo is really a big commitment. It’s obviously removed, but it’s really great,” Anzaone remarked. “This is the place where you can make history, and our opportunity is right in front of us.”

Chepeska claims that it seems fated.

It’s our chance, and as a Lions fan, this has been the most thrilling experience I’ve ever had, he remarked.

The 49ers vs. Lions winner will go to the Super Bowl 58, which is scheduled for February 11 in Las Vegas.

Conference finals set a new standard for the Lions and Baltimore teams

On Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Detroit, following an NFL wild-card playoff football game against the Los Angeles Rams, quarterback Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions walks off the field.

Reaching the conference championship game is becoming second nature to the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Being on this platform is somewhat of a rarity for both the Detroit Lions and the city of Baltimore.

Patrick Mahomes will be playing in the AFC championship game for the sixth time in his six seasons as a starter when he and the Chiefs take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

That only falls two short of the record set by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots from 2011 to 2018, which they shared with the Oakland Raiders of the 1970s for the second-longest stretch ever.

Following Sunday, Mahomes will tie with Brady (14) and Joe Montana (7) for the third-most quarterback starts in conference championship games since the merger. Mahomes can take over second place in passing yards if he throws for 217 yards on Sunday. His 14 touchdown passes rank him second in conference championship game history, seven behind Brady.

The Ravens have reached this point five times overall and for the first time since their 2012 Super Bowl winning campaign. This will be the first conference championship game to be held in Baltimore since the Colts defeated the Raiders 27-17 in the inaugural AFC championship game on January 3, 1971. However, they played their first four games away from home.

In the NFC title game, the 49ers—who are playing in their 19th conference championship game on record—will take on the Lions, who are visiting for the second time.

San Francisco is trying to avoid becoming the fifth club to lose at this point in three straight seasons after losing to the Rams and Eagles on the road the previous two seasons. The only clubs to do so are the Raiders (1973–75), the Rams (1974–76), Dallas (1980–82), and Philadelphia (2001–03).

Over the previous 20 years, the Niners have been a hit or miss team. Despite having just seven winning records over the previous 21 seasons—tied for the 22nd most—they have made the most appearances in the NFC title game—making it to the game every season.

Brock Purdy joins Ben Roethlisberger and Mark Sanchez as the only QBs to start a conference title game in their first two seasons.

The Lions have only ever won one postseason game in the Super Bowl era—they faced Washington in the 1991 NFC championship game—and are one of only four franchises to have never played in the championship game.

They have won two playoff games in a single year for the third time in the team’s existence. In route to winning two of their three crowns that decade, they accomplished it in 1952 and 1957.

With their last victory occurring at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco in 1957, when the Lions overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat the 49ers 31-27 in the divisional round, Detroit has lost a record 11 straight road playoff games.TRAUMATING SHORT

After losing 27-24 to Kansas City, the Buffalo Bills saw another exciting season come to an early end. Tyler Bass, of course, missed a 44-yard field goal wide right in the final minutes.

The Bills have won at least ten games without winning the Super Bowl for the seventh consecutive season. There have only been two other teams that have accomplished that: the Rams, who did it six times in a row from 1973 to 1978, and the Eagles, who did it five times from 1988 to 1992.

Despite winning just nine games in 1979, the Rams did manage to make it to the Super Bowl that season.
