The father of Christian Watson criticises Packers supporters, saying they
Christian Watson’s father attacks Green Bay fans, saying they’re worse than the fans in Philadelphia. Watson is one of the players who has endured harassment during a trying season for the Packers.

Christian Watson’s wide receiver father has taken offence at the supporters’ dissatisfaction with a team that is in transition as a result of the Green Bay Packers’ challenging start to the season.
Born Tim Watson, Tazim Wajed was a safety for the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, and Philadelphia Eagles in the 1990s and early 2000s. This past week, following the Packers’ defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he let supporters have it on Twitter.
The major thing he has to say about the supporters of the Packers is that they are too impatient with an inexperienced offence, with rookie tight end Luke Musgrave, Romeo Doubs, and quarterback Jordan Love leading the charge, and a youthful receiving corps that includes Watson.
“What amazes me about this Green Bay Packers fan base, and some of you reporters quite frankly, is the fact that this team, which is literally the youngest in the NFL, was not expected to even compete this season, yet have found a way to be in every game,” he said on Twitter.
“You all are about as bad as it gets, and I played in Philly with their schizophrenic fans.”
Hurt. He continues by highlighting the Packers fans’ seeming erratic behaviour.
“To be very honest, you guys treated Aaron Rodgers horribly both when he replaced Brett Favre and pretty much every other time he wasn’t flawless on the pitch! By Davante Adams’ second season, you wanted him cut. AND you feel as though you ‘deserve’ more than this squad in any way? If you want to be supporters, then you guys don’t deserve anything more than to cheer on the players who are out there giving it their best.”

“Simply put, if some of you seriously think YOUR rights to critique players as fans somehow supersede those of family members who may choose to defend them, then your principles of reasoning were lost somewhere along the way,” Wajed said in response to the predictable backlash from Packers fans that followed.
To be clear, he said, “defending a human being we have known our entire lives and have come to love and care for is ‘thin skin’. Thus, what precisely is the indication of a football team’s supporters being extremely emotional and disparaging individuals they’ve only known for around 18 months due to their subjective performance during a game?”
He proceeded to talk about the 2022 Packers, led by Aaron Rodgers, on Friday. After nine games, the team’s record was, you guessed it, 3-6.
They lost to the Detroit Lions in the final game, which prevented them from making the playoffs, and eventually ended 8-9.
In a season where the 24-year-old has only 14 receptions for 236 yards and one touchdown in six games, Wajed acknowledges that his son has to improve.
“He has to improve, be more aggressive while making a catch, and be more reliable—PERIOD. He won’t last long in the NFL if not. He is aware of how this company operates. I just know him from his entire life, and I have trust in his work ethic to help him get back on track and reach his full potential,” the man tweeted.
Furthermore, Watson’s brother Tre Watson Sr. shared this during Sunday’s New York Jets vs. Las Vegas Raiders game, proving he’s not the only Watson relative with some not-so-subtle remarks for Packers fans.
