The first Princess Auto Stadium will replace IG Field in Winnipeg for…

Following the expiration of the club’s 12-year naming rights agreement with IG Wealth Management, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers have renamed their home stadium, Princess Auto Stadium, a league source confirmed to 3DownNation. The new deal is reportedly a 10-year agreement.

Princess Auto Stadium opened in 2013 and is situated close to the University of Manitoba campus in the southern region of Winnipeg. It is home to Valour FC, the Manitoba Bisons, and the Blue Bombers of the Canadian Premier League.

The stadium, which made its debut as Investors Group Field in the past, rebranded itself as IG Field in 2019. There are now 32,343 seats, a little drop over the previous ten years.

Princess Auto Stadium’s turf is currently being renovated, and work is anticipated to be completed in May.

Princess Auto’s headquarters are still located in Winnipeg, where company was established in 1942. Over 50 locations are owned and run by the privately held farm, industrial, and garage retailer in Canada.

MORE NEWS AND UPDATE:

That’s Zach up there, huh? Bombers Collaros creates a quick impression with his teammates.

Being a self-confessed football fan, Pat Neufeld was naturally watching the Chiefs play the Bills in Buffalo on Sunday.

The seasoned offensive lineman for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers typically concentrates on the line of scrimmage to observe the actions of the big men. But Neufeld’s attention was drawn to a quarterback this time.

For millions of viewers, the fact that Collaros was breathing the same air as one of the biggest music singers in the world was all that counted.
This made Collaros extremely desirable. On Monday, every media outlet in Winnipeg, a few nationwide and a few from the United States—including two radio stations and a newspaper from Ohio, his home state—was vying for an interview.

Neufeld remarked, “I could imagine.” “When I looked him up on Twitter, everyone said that Zach was with the Kelce brothers and that he was up there next to Taylor Swift.” Most likely, people are curious to know what it was like.

Then there’s Blue Bombers wide receiver Rasheed Bailey, who attended the Detroit Lions vs. Bucs playoff game alongside rapper Eminem, one of Detroit’s biggest fans.

Bailey was completely ignored by the TV cameras, and on Monday, just one lonely sportswriter from Winnipeg expressed interest in speaking with him about it.
Bailey described the encounter as “phenomenal” from his home in Philadelphia. The Detroit Lions’ supporters shocked me. It was an incredible atmosphere.

Absolutely everything about it was incredible. The crowd went nuts when they displayed Eminem on the screen at one point. I experienced the entire Detroit vibe.
Similar to Collaros, Bailey attended the game in support of his close buddy, running back Craig Reynolds of the Lions. Reynolds is a Pennsylvania native with whom Bailey trains during the off-season.

Reynolds, who saw limited action during the season, found himself in possession of the ball on a crucial fourth down from the one-yard line. He scored his first touchdown since Week 5 to break a 10–10 third-quarter tie and propel the Lions to the NFC Championship game against the 49ers the following week.
