Saint Paul, Minnesota — President of Hockey Operations and General Manager of the Minnesota Wild, Bill Guerin, announced today that the team has placed centre Connor Dewar on Injured Reserve (lower body), reassigned defenseman Daemon Hunt to Iowa, and recalled forward Jake Lucchini and goaltender Jesper Wallstedt from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (NHL) under emergency circumstances.

This season, Lucchini, 28, (5/9/95), has skated for Minnesota in four games. The 6-foot, 180-pound product of Trail, British Columbia, has previously featured in 28 games with Iowa during the 2023-24 season, recording 22 points (11-11=22) and eight penalty minutes (PIM). He leads Iowa in goals scored, assists (4), shots (79), power-play goals (4), points (tied), and shots (four).

Lucchini has played in 15 NHL games in his career, split between two seasons with the Ottawa Senators (2022–23) and Minnesota (2020–21), in which he has 16 shots and one point (1-0=1). In his six seasons with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2018–20), Laval (2019–21), Belleville (2021-23), and Iowa (2023–24), he has played in 265 AHL games. During that time, he has recorded 159 points (70–89=159), 17 PPGs, nine game-winning goals (GWG), and 583 shots. On July 1, 2023, Lucchini signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Wild.
