Kristaps Porzingis Calls Out  Celtics Supporters Following Rockets’ Victory

When the Boston Celtics faced the Houston Rockets on January 21, a sizable crowd of Celtics supporters attended. Following the Celtics’ victory, Kristaps Porzingis praised the supporters for their unwavering devotion.

“To be honest, it’s amazing,” Porzingis said to Abby Chin of NBC Sports Boston. “We get support wherever we go on the road, just as at home. There isn’t any NBA fan base that compares to this one, in my opinion. Playing in front of these supporters is indeed a gift.

Porzingis saluted the remaining supporters after the game as he was leaving with his arms high.

Porzingis only has only four teams to compare himself to since he has only played for the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards in his career. Boston’s devoted fan base is another result of their collective success. With 63 victories, the Celtics would become the most successful team that Porzingis has ever been a part of.

Throughout his NBA career, Porzingis has only made two trips to the postseason and has never advanced beyond the first round. He may not have encountered such an ardent following before due to his lack of experience playing for a contender.

Porzingis Kristaps praises Jaylen Brown’s Conduct
In the game against the Rockets, Jaylen Brown did not lead the Celtics in scoring. With 32 points, Kristaps Porzingis was the recipient of that honour. But Brown recorded a triple-double in the end, scoring 13, pulling down 11 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists.

Porzingis complimented Brown for his leadership in supporting the team even if he didn’t score many points at his post-game news conference.

According to Celtics on NBC Sports Boston’s X account, Porzingis told reporters, “It speaks volumes for (Brown’s) leadership too.” “He knows he’s not obligated to score thirty each and every night. And he may have a night like this when he doesn’t make all the shots, but he still makes the passes and readings for our teammates, and it sets off a domino effect for the whole team.

While Porzingis scored thirty points in his fourth game with the Celtics, Brown recorded his third triple-double of the season. Porzingis’s scoring was helpful since, while Brown’s performance was below average, Jayson Tatum’s was also lacklustre. Tatum finished with 18 points, however he only made four of his seventeen field goals and one of his six three-point attempts.

In response to Kristaps Porzingis Kidd, Derrick White
In the third quarter of the Celtics’ game against the Nuggets, Derrick White drew a and-one. Kristaps Porzingis approached White and planted a kiss on his head as a way of expressing his gratitude for his comrade.

During his postgame news conference after the match, White responded to the kiss in a succinct but sincere ma

According to Noa Dalzell’s X account, White told reporters after the game, “That was crazy.” “It was unexpected, yet he’s an excellent colleague.”

Since coming to the Celtics, Porzingis has shown that he is an excellent team player. Porzingis has shown his team spirit as a Celtic by, among other things, kissing Derrick White on a well-played play and complimenting Jaylen Brown for being a leader. As if that weren’t enough, he has also shown his affection for the Celtics fan base.
