Kawhi Leonard’s Covert Illness Battle During the Clippers vs. Nets Games

Following a thrilling 22-0 fourth-quarter comeback victory against the Nets, Clippers head coach Ty Lue disclosed that Leonard had been privately fighting a health issue and had not practiced with the club.
Ty Lue said, “He had been under the weather a little bit.” Yesterday, he was unable to practise. Therefore, we were unsure whether he would be able to attend today. He continued to play despite it. I felt that he did establish a rhythm in the fourth quarter.
Leonard had an incredible game considering how horribly he played the first part of it. Kawhi Leonard scored 14 points in the fourth quarter on 100% shooting, and he also finished the game by making back-to-back threes by himself. That kind of game really demonstrated the depth of the Clippers’ roster. Without James Harden and Russell Westbrook, the LA Clippers surely fall to the lowly Brooklyn Nets. But those additional talents placed them in a position where Kawhi Leonard could settle in.

Russell Westbrook had an interview with Bally Sports West after the Los Angeles Clippers pulled off a thrilling victory at home against the Brooklyn Nets, with Westbrook closing the game efficiently at centre court.

Although it might be a little uncomfortable, Westbrook made sure the audience knew how precious the occasion was for Haylock by blasting the broadcast audio over the stadium speakers.
