GOOD NEWS:One of the three “best fits” for the top tight end prospect in the NFL Draft is the Giants.

One of the three “best fits” for the top tight end prospect in the NFL Draft is the Giants.

The New York Giants will choose sixth in the 2019 NFL Draft, which will probably put them out of reach for the best quarterback prospect in the class but still put them in position to select an outstanding offensive weapon.

Given the uncertainty surrounding TE Darren Waller’s future, the Giants may use their first-round selection to pursue the best tight end prospect available in the NFL Draft. The Giants are among the top three teams in the draft to choose Georgia tight end Brock Bowers, according to Justin Melo of The Draft Network.

Georgia TE identified as having the Giants as a “best fit” Brock Bowers
In Melo’s most recent piece, the Giants were named as one of the three teams that Bowers “best fits” with. Bowers is a “physically gifted pass-catcher” and “the best tight end prospect since Kyle Pitts,” according to Melo.

Within this year’s draft class, Bowers is widely regarded as a top-10 talent. In only 10 games this season, he caught 56 passes for 714 receiving yards and six touchdowns. On six carries, he also tallied 28 running yards and one score.

Melo thinks that Bowers’ future with the Giants may depend on the performance of another superstar in the draft:

Melo stated, “The Giants should add a premium weapon to their offence if they don’t draft a quarterback, especially considering Saquon Barkley’s future with the team hangs in the balance for a second straight offseason.” “Daboll’s offence would gain almost 300 touches if Barkley were to go. As a rookie, Bowers has the kind of consistency that makes him a target more than 100 times a year. There isn’t a certain top choice in the Giants’ passing offence. Bowers would take up that space.

Big Blue’s offence would suffer a serious hit this summer if Barkley were to go. Although he is eligible for re-signing, the top rusher has expressed his unease with the franchise tag. General manager Joe Schoen would prioritise acquiring a creative playmaker to the offence if Barkley were to enter free agency.

Is Bowers someone the Giants should target in the first round?
Draft experts have previously connected the Giants to Bowers in conjectural articles. “While the Giants need to upgrade their receiving corps, head coach Brian Daboll can build a passing game around Bowers—not unlike the Kansas City Chiefs with Travis Kelce,” noted David Kenyon of Bleacher Report. Bowers is a “perfect schematic fit” for Big Blue, according to Kenyon.

In many mock drafts this offseason, Bowers ended up with the Giants. Bowers is a unique talent who may be an exception to the norm, despite some people believing that selecting a tight end sixth overall would be excessive.

Bowers had outstanding grades throughout his three years of college football, earning him the title of “the greatest tight end to ever play college football” according to Pro Football Focus. At the time of the system’s creation (in 2014), he had the highest receiving grade of any Power 5 tight end, 94.1, out of all of them.

In April, the two-time John Mackey Award winner will be considered a blue-chip prospect in the draft class. Notwithstanding the NFL’s undervaluation of tight ends, the Giants should give Bowers serious attention as a first-round target.

During the NFL offseason, Denver Broncos are anticipated to deal a prominent player

A lot of rumours about the Denver Broncos swirled around before the NFL trade deadline on November 1. Being associated with the trade of prominent wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy was one of them.

Despite the Broncos’ rather exorbitant asking price, nothing materialised in the end.

Given that Denver has concluded its ninth season without making the playoffs, many predict that the club will make significant changes this summer. Release of expensive quarterback Russell Wilson will undoubtedly be a part of it.

However, there’s much more to examine here. Mike Klis of 9News reports that the Broncos want to move one of Sutton and Jeudy over the summer.

“The Broncos are expected to move on from one this offseason after considering trading either Sutton or Jerry Jeudy last offseason.”

An update on the Denver Broncos’ offseason schedule
The 28-year-old Sutton would probably get the most attention out of the two. In the previous season, the former Pro Bowler caught 59 catches for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns. He now has a four-year, $60.8 million deal that expires in 2025, under which he plays.

Regarding Jeudy, ever since the Broncos selected him with the first overall choice in the 2020 NFL Draft, he has been a mysterious player. That involves a few significant drop problems.

Jeudy has a lot of potential and is still just 24 years old, despite this. A season earlier, he caught 54 receptions for 758 yards.
