Rams general manager Les Snead said he wouldn’t rule out dealing LA’s first-round selection in 2024.

The Detroit Lions eliminated the Los Angeles Rams from the Wild Card, bringing an end to the team’s season. Two of the most devastating things the club went through this past Sunday were probably failing to secure the lead late in the fourth and Tyler Higbee’s ACL injury. Les Snead, the general manager, and the front office are now starting the offseason and getting ready for a deeper playoff run the following season.

With the 19th overall choice in this year’s draft, the Rams will get their first first-round pick since 2016. When asked whether the management intended to use the selection, Snead responded in the negative. The general manager’s brief reaction left supporters wanting more information.

According to Rams staff writer Stu Jackson, Snead said, “(It’s) a little too early to tell.”

The concern that Snead will trade the choice away (as he is notorious for doing) might be the reason for Rams supporters’ want for additional information.

When Rams fans learned the team’s draft placement, many of them may have immediately thought of the 53-year-old donning his infamous “F*** them picks” jersey at the 2022 Super Bowl parade.

Though there’s a possibility the Rams would really utilise the selection to add a young, promising talent among their future generation of players, which includes Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams, given Los Angeles’ ageing veteran class. Currently, the club has the option to choose Matthew Stafford’s replacement.
