The last quarterback standing in the playoffs from the deep 2020 draft class a player of the Green Bay Packers.

The Green Bay Packers selected Jordan Love with the 26th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He would be one of five quarterbacks selected in that draft round; the other four, Joe Burrow and Dalen Hurts, had both made it to the Super Bowl (which they lost) and had all reached the playoffs at some time.

Love was designated the starting quarterback this season when Aaron Rodgers left to join the New York Jets. Not many pundits predicted the Packers would make it very far, or even to the postseason. Love, however, had other ideas. The Packers not only defeated the Cowboys 48-32 in the first round of the playoffs, but they now want to replicate that victory in San Francisco. Love is the only quarterback from the 2020 draft class who is still in the playoffs after Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts both lost in the first round (Burrow’s Bengals and Herbert’s Chargers did not advance).

Jordan Love currently ranks among the National Football League’s top five quarterbacks.

Though this may seem like a bold statement, how many other quarterbacks in the NFL can throw for three touchdowns and 300 yards almost every game since Week 9? For the Packers to qualify for the playoffs, a significant turnaround was required. This was a mid-season procedure that the coaches began. After Love caught fire, the Packers won two of their last three games to secure the NFC’s final playoff berth.

Now that we have data for at least one season for each of the five quarterbacks, we can start comparing their rankings.

Among these five quarterbacks, Joe Burrow of the Bengals was the first overall selection in the 2020 FL NDraft and the first to accomplish a number of other firsts. He played in his first championship game and won the second, making him the first to participate in one. In Super Bowl 56, he would make his Super Bowl debut and lose to the Los Angeles Rams. But in two distinct seasons (this year and his rookie season), he has also had a string of season-ending injuries.

Second is Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for theolph DinMiami s. Like Burrow, Tagovailoa has had several injuries, including numerous head-on collisions last year that raised doubts about whether he would play again in his career. But this season, he’s back with a fury. The Dolphins quarterback guided his club to the postseason, when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated them at Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium in the first round. Because the Lions defeated the Rams in their playoff game, the Dolphins are currently the team with the longest winning streak without a postseason victory. I’m at a loss for words if that doesn’t provide any light on Tua’s professional trajectory.

Why Jordan Love Performs Better Than His “Draft-mates”

Justin Herbert, the quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers, comes in third. Quarterback Justin Herbert is a victim of his environment. Herbert will have three head coaches in four years when the Chargers choose a new one. After his first season, Anthony Lynn was sacked, and he has had Brandon Staley for the previous three years. Herbert may depart once his contract expires in order to have a better chance of contending for a championship if the Chargers keep wasting him.

And now for the NFC. Cowboys , whom the Eagles picked, led them to the Super Bowl and almost brought home the championship against the Chiefs the previous season. But he was unable to repeat that victory this year, as the Buccaneers defeated Hurts and the Eagles 32-9 in the NFC playoff first round. Since then, since the Eagles finished the season with a 6–7 record, many supporters have called for head coach Nick Sirianni’s resignation. The impending arrival of Bill Belichick, a head coach free agent currently available on the market, is another reason.

A typical first-year starting quarterback is not Jordan Love.

The Packers made a wise choice by placing Jordan Love behind Aaron Rodgers, one of the all-time great quarterbacks. Love is maybe more prepared than the other four quarterbacks were for their debut games as a result. At some time during their rookie season, not only were they all thrown into the deep end, but they also had high expectations for themselves. Love didn’t play on the pitch at all and didn’t do so until after a Rodgers injury prevented him from playing in Love’s second season.

Love is also very good at developing relationships with both coaches and players. It has helped him understand his head coach, Matt LaFleur, better and has also helped him play better with his teammates. There is a noticeable difference from the Aaron Rodgers era.

With any luck, Love will keep improving at a pace that hasn’t truly been witnessed before, which might propel him to the top of the NFL.
