The NFL playoff game between Buffalo and Kansas City on Sunday was already set, but Bills supporters were already looking forward to seeing pop sensation Taylor Swift play.

Fans who survived the chilly weather on Monday for the Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers wild-card game at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo were eagerly anticipating this weekend. A specific sign that circulated on social media said, “See ya next week, Taylor!”

TV cameras regularly pulled away from the action on the field to show AD Swift, the megapop artist, roaring on her lover in the opulent box. Swift is renowned for dating Kansas City veteran tight end Travis Kelce. Over the last several months, Swift has been attending Chiefs games to support her beau. Although her attendance at Sunday’s game in Buffalo is unknown, it wouldn’t be shocking if she did. (The first of four shows in Tokyo on February 7 is her next engagement on the Eras tour.)

Even if some of them are Swifties themselves, members of the Bills Mafia, the ardent fan base for the Buffalo Bills, are transparent about their allegiances.

It’s finally nice to have a Bills-Chiefs playoff game in Buffalo instead of Kansas City, said Kelly Conlan, a longtime Bills fan from Toronto. “I think she’s a brilliant musician, businesswoman, and role model, and I’ll always root for her in her own endeavours,” Conlan said.

“I hope she visits Buffalo so she can enjoy the best of the Bills Mafia.” Conlan, who will be at the game on Sunday, cautioned Taylor, “Watch out for snowballs!”

Natasha Delpippo, a season ticket holder for the Bills, is one of millions of “Swifties” from across the globe. Once she was able to get tickets to the Eras Tour, which is coming to Toronto in November, the Toronto resident was ecstatic.

But on Sunday, she won’t have any doubts about who she supports.

“I will continue to support the Bills despite my immense admiration for her music.” I will always be devoted to them,” Delpippo said sarcastically.

Having signed up for season tickets only three years ago, she claimed to be a Swift fan for much longer than a Bills fan. But she thinks that being a Swiftie is just a pastime she does with a select group of close friends on the weekends or when she goes to concerts, like the one in Toronto in November.

However, she said, being a part of the Bills Mafia is really like being a part of a big family. Every season, she eagerly anticipates taking part in the tailgate parties and making the long trek to Buffalo for the games every weekend. Even watching the games at home or in neighbourhood bars seems like a part of a family ritual.

Attending a football game, Taylor Swift demonstrates her dominance over the NFL.
“From September to February, the Bills are a more consistent weekly event in my life and I feel like it is more of a group experience,” Delpippo said.

She said that the fact that the Bills must win to get to the AFC Championship Game should motivate the players even more to host the Chiefs on home soil for a playoff game.

“I don’t see anything wrong with Taylor being at the game; if we win, it just puts the Bills in the spotlight more,” the woman said.

AFC divisional round preview: Not so long ago, the Bills and Chiefs played a legendary playoff game.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills produced one of the best games in NFL history during their last playoff matchup.

In the closing minutes, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes traded touchdowns. There were five scoring plays from the game’s finish until the two-minute warning of the fourth quarter. Four of them were touchdowns, and one was a thrilling field goal that the Chiefs needed to tie the game at the end of regulation after a seemingly impossible 13-second drive. Travis Kelce’s overtime touchdown run gave the Chiefs the victory. it’s not a ridiculous case to make if you were to call it the best NFL game ever.

We can only hope that the playoff rematch on Sunday night is almost as fantastic.

The purpose of our viewing
Ranking Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes as the NFL’s top two quarterbacks would surprise Lamar Jackson, but it could also be a valid ranking. Whichever way you rate them, Mahomes and Allen are two of the NFL’s most valued and unique talents. Although Allen is a more consistent and efficient runner, both quarterbacks have the ability to create huge plays with their legs. They can both make passes that very few other quarterbacks in the history of the game have been able to make.

The show ought to be fantastic. This may not be the last postseason meeting between these two teams; there’s a reason they should be in the tournament every year from now on.

What may make us fall asleep
With no precipitation predicted, the outlook for Buffalo on Sunday is really not that awful. Let’s see. The romanticization of snow and cold weather often obscures the fact that playing football in these circumstances frequently results in subpar performance. Hopefully, the weather cooperates enough that we can see Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes play. Should the weather become bad and we have wind, cold, and snow, the event can turn out to be more of a slog than a classic.

In this divisional match, the wild card
Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver with the Bills, last had a 100-yard performance on October 15. He hadn’t scored a touchdown since November 26. Diggs hasn’t exactly been a horrible player, but he hasn’t been the superstar we’ve become used to watching either. The fact that other guys have shown promise in the second half and given the Bills other options is positive for Buffalo’s offence. The Bills may need Diggs to reach 100 yards and score a touchdown in a game like this. Spreading the load is a good thing, but Diggs continues to be the team’s most important player in terms of skill position.

Someone we’ll probably give credit to after the win
The injury report for the Bills is lengthy. Specifically, there is a lack of defence. That is not good news in front of the Patrick Mahomes game. Sean McDermott has done his job if the Bills can win despite all of that. When the Bills were having trouble this season, McDermott took some flak. Bills supporters will get even more irate if he loses in the postseason once again. It would be a fantastic day for the head coach of the Bills if he could figure out how to slow down Mahomes and the Chiefs without a fully healthy defence.

Someone we’ll probably question after the loss
The performance of the Chiefs’ receivers makes the difference between them winning a Super Bowl and losing in the divisional round. Travis Kelce, the tight end, has spent the most of the season playing well but not spectacularly. Isiah Pacheco, the running back, has shown promise as a rusher, but Kansas City will need more than just a relentless running game. Rashee Rice is becoming more and more well-known. In his last two games, he has amassed 257 yards, including 130 yards against the Dolphins the previous week. He’ll be a major player on Sunday. The Chiefs should be OK if Rice continues to be effective, Kelce makes some plays, and everyone else pitches in. It will be a talking topic throughout the summer if the receivers vanish, as they have in earlier games this season.

The NFL playoffs are under way, which means that Super Bowl LVIII—the largest sporting event of 2024—is drawing near.

Millions of fans from all around the globe will be watching the two teams competing for the Vince Lombardi trophy in this year’s game in Las Vegas.

Before we play in the big game on February 11, we have to go through four rounds of the playoffs. In advance of Super Bowl LVIII, Telegraph Sport provides you with a comprehensive overview of all the pertinent details.

When is the 2024 Super Bowl?
On Sunday, February 11, 2024, Super Bowl LVIII will take place.

The NFL regular season now includes a game, therefore the Super Bowl will no longer take place on the first Sunday in February as usual.

When does the 2024 Super Bowl go off?
This indicates that the game will begin at 11.30 p.m. in the UK. The US kickoff time is 3.30 PM PST, meaning that the east coast kickoff time is 6.30 PM.

The Super Bowl will begin earlier than normal since it will take place in Las Vegas and must coincide with the east coast’s primetime viewing window.

What location will the 2024 Super Bowl take place?
Las Vegas will host the Super Bowl for the first time in NFL history.

The event will take place at Allegiant Stadium, the Las Vegas Raiders’ home field, barely three years after it officially opened in September 2020.

Built for $1.9 billion, the stadium can hold up to 65,000 spectators on a daily basis. But for major events, that number may increase, so there will probably be more than 70,000 seats available for the Super Bowl.

How can I watch the 2024 Super Bowl?
Beginning this year, the NFL and the four major US broadcasters will share the game in a rotational fashion as part of a revised 11-year pact.

This year, CBS will serve as the host broadcaster in the United States, while Paramount+ will provide live streaming of the event. Tony Romo and Jim Nantz will probably provide the commentary.

Super Bowl LVIII will show on ITV1 for free in the UK, and ITVX will provide online access. TalkSport will provide radio coverage of the game, while Sky Sports’ paid customers will also be able to watch it.

Who is going to be the halftime act?
Following Rihanna’s amazing performance at Super Bowl LVII, everyone’s attention will be on another amazing Las Vegas extravaganza.

Usher, the R&B superstar, will be the one in charge of providing halftime entertainment at Allegiant Stadium for the millions of fans worldwide this year.

According to reports, Usher’s next album, Coming Home, will be out on February 11—the day of the Super Bowl.

In 2023, who took home the Super Bowl?
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38–35 in the previous year’s Super Bowl. In the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes won MVP honours.

Who’s going to be in the 2024 Super Bowl?
After the 18-week regular season ends, the NFL play-offs come to a finish with the Super Bowl.

A total of 14 teams were able to advance to the playoffs, with the two NFL conferences’ top two seeds—the AFC and NFC—getting a bye in the first round.
