Ravens Prepare for Playoff Matchup with Texans Notwithstanding Earlier Loss…
The Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans will play in the NFL Divisional Round. The Ravens’ first playoff game will be crucial, as the Texans’ previous encounter with the Ravens ended in a loss.
C.J. Stroud became one of the most gifted rookie quarterbacks and set NFL rookie records as the season progressed. In preparation for their matchup with the Houston team, the Ravens had nothing but high regard for the Stroud.
The quarterback for the Texans is the youngest in league history to reach the payout game stage. Cornerback Brandon Stephens of the Baltimore Ravens said of the quarterback, “He’s a pretty good quarterback, can make all the throws.” He is undoubtedly more aware of that offence. However, it goes without saying that we must do our duties, make it difficult for him to read, and generally make things difficult for the offence.
Outside linebacker Odafe Oweh of the Ravens praised Stroud’s development as well, saying, “I feel like they’re a whole different team.” That C.J. is a whole other QB. I think that since we helped him grow up, he has been having a great time. I hold him in the highest regard. People play clearly harder during the playoffs. Thus, we too need to arrive with a new energy.
Despite missing two games during the regular season, Stroud finished with the eighth-most throwing yards. This season, Stroud has only thrown five interceptions.
Safety Geno Stone had shared, “He’s not putting the ball in jeopardy. He’s making plays for his guys and being smart with the ball. They’re a different team, but so are we. We made strides as a defense. We have guys back from injuries and guys that we added throughout the year. We’re ready for this opportunity.”
