After the Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins, a bitter cold sent fifteen Kansas City Chiefs supporters to the Death.
While head coach Andy Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs and his frozen moustache provided entertainment during the team’s victory against the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card Round, it seems that other Chiefs supporters had some frightening moments during the game.
With their 26-7 victory against the Dolphins this past weekend, the reigning champion Chiefs were able to effectively start their quest for back-to-back Super Bowl appearances. However, because of the awful weather on game day, the game did not become the aerial exhibition that many had anticipated for, even though it featured two of the NFL’s most powerful offences.

The game was a significant test for both teams despite the Chiefs and Dolphins not having to play in snowy circumstances because of the intense cold that blasted through the Kansas City region just before the Saturday night game.
It was a very cold -4 degrees before kickoff, and wind chills caused the temperature to drop as low as -30 throughout play. Conditions set up for one of the coldest NFL games ever, along with a comical moment when millions of fans saw Andy Reid’s frozen moustache on TV.

While the players’ resilience in competing in such circumstances was admirable, the 70,000 spectators did not get enough recognition for enduring frightening conditions to see their beloved team up close. Unfortunately, the bitter weather got to be too much for some of those Chiefs supporters.
The Kansas City Fire Department got 69 calls from within Arrowhead Stadium and the surrounding parking lot after the game, according to KMBC News. About half of them had to do with fans who had been hypothermic.

The agency reports that fifteen individuals were sent to nearby hospitals. Seven of the hospitalised patients had treatment for hypothermia, while three received treatment for frostbite, according to the publication. These figures exclude those who just stroll into nearby hospitals for care.
The team’s encounters with the Broncos in 1983 and the Titans in 2016 were not as chilly as the Chiefs’ matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Right now, it’s the fifth-coldest NFL game ever.
