Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers flocked to local eateries and pubs to see the team face the Buffalo Bills on Monday.
Despite their intense belief that the squad will win in the playoffs, the team lost 31–17, sending supporters home unhappy. As the game progressed, the excitement at Tom’s Watch Bar on the North Shore gave way to disappointment.
“We defeated ourselves,” Pittsburgher Mark Paat said. “Those early mistakes killed us. We really would have had a shot if it hadn’t been for that, but in a playoff game, you can’t give the ball over. The narrative comes to an end there.
Too many mistakes. As the game begins, it’s next person up. An excessive number of injuries. “T.J. Watt is out,” Pittsburgh’s Kyle Beck said.
“Heartbreaking,” tweeted Steelers supporter Kelsey Ford. “We usually anticipate a close call when we go into it. Though we are aware of it, hope never fades.”
Fans discussed the season’s highs and lows, including Matt Canada’s departure, Mike Tomlin’s comments, and the three starting quarterbacks.
The Steelers’ resilience was still believed by supporters despite the turbulent season.
“We made good progress. Many people were surprised by what we accomplished, according to Pittsburgh’s Jarvis Nixon.
And the way quarterback Mason Rudolph performed caught a lot of supporters off guard.
Nixon said, “Mason Rudolph brought us back.” “You got to take your hat off to him.”
“We are here because of him. Thus, Paat said, “I believe he has an opportunity to make (Kenny) Pickett the backup. “He earned being where he is right now.”
Supporters express their want to see several improvements throughout the summer.
Megan Shinn of KDKA visited the Harmar Denny’s on Freeport Road to gauge the mood of the patrons.
Charles Okonkwo said, “I’m definitely not very happy about it.” “I was a little disappointed watching it, kind of hoping they were gonna you know, get their momentum, but they were just never able to get it.”
