Formerly Celtic Jayson Tatum Gets a Serious Message from Dennis Schröder…

Dennis Schröder, a former Celtic, had a message for his former teammate Jayson Tatum after the Boston Celtics’ season series sweep of the Toronto Raptors on January 15.

Tatum posted a picture of the autographed jersey he got from Schröder, which said “Brodie 4 life,” after the Celtics victory. This year, go get the chip. PS Top 5. CelticsBlog’s Noa Dalzell’s X account collected Tatum’s photo.

Before the Celtics moved Schröder, Tatum and Schröder were colleagues on the club in 2021–2022. Schröder has reportedly hinted that the two players are still friends and have been since their breakup, so it seems that there are no bitter feelings between them. Schröder makes it very evident in his message to Tatum that he thinks Tatum is among the top players in the NBA and that the Celtics can win a championship this year.

Throughout the 2023–24 season, the Raptors have not had the same good fortune as the Celtics. The Raptors lost, dropping them to 15–25 and the No. 12 seed in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics also swept them. If their season keeps going south, Schröder could not have a place on the squad in the long run.

Jason Tatum Gives Dennis Schröder High Fives
Jayson Tatum spoke about their time together as teammates and complimented Dennis Schröder as a person and player after the Celtics victory.

Tatum described Dalzell as a “great guy, great teammate, just super competitive.” As you spend more time with him, he will speak out if he notices anything that bothers him. I was going to tell him if he did anything I didn’t like. We sort of assumed that winning was all that we desired. We had difficult talks, but I gained a great deal of respect for him because, at his heart, he is a winner. He is a really fierce rival.

Before Boston moved Schröder to the Houston Rockets, he played 49 games with the Celtics. The Celtics had a 31–25 record before to trading Schröder. The Celtics won 20 of their next 26 games after the transaction. Compared to Schröder that season, Derrick White and Daniel Theis turned out to be superior fits for the squad.

Singles Out Jabari Parker, Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum also mentioned Jabari Parker, a former teammate of his who is now playing abroad, during his news conference after the game.

According to Taylor Snow’s X account, Tatum said, “I did see he had a buzzer beater the other day.” “I have a lot of respect for someone, but I haven’t spoken to Jabari in a while. Glad to see him performing at such a high level. Of course, I had the opportunity to play alongside him during my two stints with the Celtics.

Tatum also commented about the impact Parker had on him as a player when he entered college.

I attended Duke because of him. I wanted to resemble him. So you can imagine how much I adore him and am glad he’s doing well.

Between 2021 and 2022, Parker was a member of the Boston Celtics; however, he did not see much action during that time. Parker had plenty of NBA experience going into the league, but his stint in the league was short-lived due to a string of ailments, including two ACL tears in the same knee. The last NBA franchise to hire him was the Celtics.
