The superstar has not yet unlocked Intuit Dome to host the NBA All-Star Game in 2026.
Although the Los Angeles Clippers’ new facility is still under construction, the 2026 NBA All-Star Game has been confirmed. The 75th All-Star Game will take place on February 15, 2026, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the NBA announced on Tuesday. Along with Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and club president of business operations Gillian Zucker, NBA commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement live at the Intuit Dome. “The Intuit Dome promises to present a unique and innovative live basketball experience which will be an extraordinary venue for the NBA All-Star Game in 2026,” Silver said in a statement. “Thanks again to Steve Ballmer, Gillian Zucker, and the Clippers organisation for their commitment to delivering a world-class showcase of the very best of our sport.” August 2024 is the planned opening date of the Intuit Dome, which will come before the 2024–25 NBA season. Ballmer sees the building as more than just a place to watch Clippers basketball games; it is a multifunctional venue. And he believes that securing a major event like the All-Star Game is a smart place to start. “We are building Intuit Dome to house and showcase the best basketball players in the world, and we are honoured they will all be under our roof for NBA All-Star,” Ballmer said. “Along with Inglewood and Los Angeles, we thank the NBA for bringing the league’s marquee event to Intuit Dome in 2026.” The NBA All-Star Game will take place in the Los Angeles region for the seventh time this year. In addition, the Los Angeles Sports Arena hosted the event in 1963, The Forum in Inglewood hosted it in 1972 and 1983, and the former Staples Centre hosted it in 2004 and 2018. There will be more All-Star-related festivities in addition to the game, as usual. On Friday, February 13, 2026, the Rising Stars game will take place. The Skills Challenge, 3-Point Challenge, and Slam Dunk event will take place the next evening. Next month’s All-Star Game will take place in Indianapolis, and the 2025 edition will take place in San Francisco.
