After a foul-mouthed tirade against snooker competitor A snooker player Ali Carter responds in kind.
Ali Carter retaliated against Ronnie O’Sullivan following The Rocket’s savage dissection of his rival during an unprecedented press conference.
After trailing 6-3, O’Sullivan overcame Carter 10-7 at Alexandra Palace to win the Masters on Sunday. After the contest, Carter took aim at his opponent, securing a record-breaking ninth title for the Englishman.
Carter attacked The Rocket for “snotting all over the floor” and the supporters of his opponent, the crowd, who were cheering him on. After learning of the remarks at his post-game news conference, O’Sullivan threw a merciless jab at Carter.
Now that he is back in action, the 44-year-old has taken aim at O’Sullivan directly at the World Grand Prix in Leicester on Tuesday. Carter insisted that O’Sullivan required mental health treatment, rejecting any notions that he was upset with The Rocket.
Yes, Ronnie has a right to his assessment of me. I simply stated the facts and how things were. For what reason are you angry? No. Yes, it doesn’t matter to me what he says,” Carter admitted to ITV.
“He speaks in different ways on different days, and I don’t even think he understands what will come out of his mouth when. I genuinely feel terrible for him since I don’t think his mental health is all that good. We proceed and we do so once more this week.
Carter was told to “sort his f***ing life out” by the snooker legend O’Sullivan in his outburst. The World Snooker Tour is currently looking into the incident, which caused the two’s enmity to blow out.
O’Sullivan angrily said, “He needs to sort his f***ing life out.” “I will no longer avoid it, tread carefully around someone of that caliber. He’s an absolute nightmare. It’s a nightmare to play snooker against someone like him.
