NEWS NOW: A major player’s affair puts the management of the Boston Celtics in jeopardy…

The Boston Celtics are thinking about disciplining head coach Ime Udoka for breaking the organization’s rules, according to sources who spoke to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Moreover, according to information given by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Celtics have found that Udoka had also broken their code of conduct by participating in a “improper intimate and consensual relationship” with a female member of their staff.

“Sources tell The Athletic that Ime Udoka, the coach of the Celtics, had an inappropriate, consensual, and intimate relationship with a female member of the team staff.” It is considered to be against the franchise’s code of conduct.

Reports state that Udoka may get a protracted suspension. The Celtics haven’t made up their mind about their decision yet, however.

Although Wojnarowski is not expected to lose his job as a consequence of this event, sources told him that the duration of any prospective punishment might be determined by Thursday.

The first season of Udoka’s Celtics tenure
The Celtics decided to appoint Udoka as their next head coach in June 2021, after Brad Stevens’ move to the front office. Udoka led the Boston Celtics to a 51-31 regular-season record in his first season as head coach, enough for second place in the Eastern Conference. In addition, Udoka’s performances in February and March earned him the title of coach of the month.
