Trade rumours involving Dejounte Murray: Lakers allegedly building a package to get the former all-star to Los Angeles…

Rumour has it that the Lakers are searching the trade market for an upgrade of some kind. They’ve been connected to Zach LaVine and Dejounte Murray, two All-Star guards, but it seems more probable that Murray will be traded than LaVine.

“According to sources, the Lakers are seeking quickness and dexterity in the backcourt as the trade deadline of February 8 draws near.”

stated Chris Haynes, an NBA analyst.

“Competition managers anticipate that the Lakers and Toronto Raptors, among other teams, will hold serious talks regarding star guard Dejounte Murray with the Atlanta Hawks.”

Haynes, however, refuted rumours that Murray was going to Los Angeles.

Murray is averaging 21.1 points, 5.0 assists, and a 39.4% three-point shooting percentage this season. Over his career, the 27-year-old averaged 1.4 steals per game and was selected to the All-Second Team in 2017–18.

The Los Angeles  are allegedly exploring a trade for guard Dejounte Murray, a former NBA All-Star who is now with the Atlanta Hawks, in an effort to bolster their club in the midst of their continued troubles.

One of those who believes the Los Angeles Lakers will trade for the 27-year-old guard from Seattle is TNT NBA analyst Chris Haynes. Haynes also believes the Purple and Gold would want to add speed and play in the background.

He has played in every game this season for the Hawks, averaging 34.7 minutes, 21.1 points, 5.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game.

Following his selection with the 29th overall choice in the 2016 NBA Draft, Murray played his first five seasons with the San Antonio Spurs before joining the Hawks last year.

Despite All-Stars Trae Young and Dwyane Wade’s steady effort, the Hawks (15–21) found it difficult to survive the month.

After winning their first NBA title in early December, the Lakers experienced a severe blow, finishing 5-11 through 16 games and 19–20, below.500.

It could take some exceptional skill for the Los Angeles Lakers to get a player of Dejounte Murray’s calibre. Even excellent talent like Austin Reaves.

Notwithstanding the difficulties their clubs are having, both players are putting in a lot of effort this season. If Reaves joins the Hawks via a trade with Atlanta, he may contribute right away, but the team is still in question due to Murray’s status as an established All-Star.
