49ers to enjoy a wild-card round with little enthusiasm from fans
SANTA CLARA: The 49ers players will be able to enjoy the opening week of the playoffs as fans since they have a first-round playoff bye during Super Wild Card Weekend.
Coach Kyle Shanahan has given his players the weekend off so they may enjoy watching the first round of the playoffs develop after two productive workouts throughout the week. Linebacker Fred Warner may have had the best answer when asked which teams he preferred to win the weekend.
Warner remarked, “As a football fan, I’m excited to watch and see who we play,” but then a grin appeared on his face. However, I pray that nobody wins. Who knows, maybe we won’t even need to play after that.
When questioned about his support for the Houston Texans, whose head coach, DeMeco Ryans, was Warner’s defensive coordinator and linebackers coach with the 49ers, the All-Pro gave a nod of recognition before making his lighthearted joke.
Although Warner will always have a great deal of respect for his former mentor, in the competitive spirit of sports, everyone and everything is up for grabs.
defensive end When asked which side he could be rooting for in the first round, Nick Bosa seemed to be a bit less nervous.
Indeed, Bosa said, “definitely for DeMeco.” “Aside from that, just to check the players we have.”
The current Defensive Player of the Year continued by saying he would just be a spectator at the games rather than doing any scouting.
Bosa said, “I’ve already seen a lot of these teams, especially the NFC.” “So I’m just going to watch and enjoy not having to work out for a week.”
