Jaden McDaniels and Karl-Anthony Towns will both be available for the Minnesota Timberwolves’ game against the Houston Rockets on Friday. Given the team’s current two-game losing run, Timberwolves supporters will be relieved to see that both are not listed as injuries. Starting at 9:00 a.m. ET, both are anticipated to take the field.
For the past few weeks, the Timberwolves were concerned about the injuries to Towns and McDaniels. Towns, a dynamic forward, suffered a bruised tailbone in the past, and he is currently experiencing knee pain. Thankfully, they are no longer on the list and should beprepared to end the team’s losing streak.
The Timberwolves fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 117-106 on Wednesday, with Karl-Anthony Towns having a mediocre game. KAT reported that while he felt okay about his knee, the previous night was not well spent.
In the meantime, McDaniels carried out his routine in a subdued manner. He had 11 points, two rebounds and two assists. On Friday, Minnesota’s defensive mainstay will try to perform better.
What became of Jaden McDaniels and Karl-Anthony Towns?
On December 21, during the fourth quarter of the LA Lakers game, Karl-Anthony Towns suffered a left knee injury.Chris Finch, the coach of the Timberwolves, stated that “KAT” hurt his knee. The team declared the following day that he will not be playing on December 23 against the Sacramento Kings.Due to left knee pain, Towns was listed as questionable on the injury report for the games that followed. Not since the Kings game has he been made to sit out. For the past few games, “KAT” has been able to obtain clearance hours in advance.
Finally, Karl-Anthony Towns was taken off the injured list for Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets. As the Timberwolves look to bounce back from their first consecutive losses of the season, this should be encouraging news.
