In the 2024 All-Star Game vote, the Boston Celtics are moving up.

All five of the Celtics’ starting players are included in the second round of voting returns, which the NBA revealed on Thursday:

With the most votes of any player in the league, Jayson Tatum is the third-leading vote-getter among frontcourt players in the Eastern Conference. The only players with more votes are Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers. A day after Tatum scorched the West-leading Minnesota Timberwolves in an exciting overtime victory on Wednesday, the most recent round of All-Star voting results was released.

Also excelling in that game was Jaylen Brown, who ranks sixth among East frontcourt players after scoring 35 points against the Timberwolves. Tatum and Brown are the only players not named Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat.

Kristaps Porzingis is directly underneath Brown. The Latvian center passed Mikal Bridges of the Brooklyn Nets and Bam Adebayo of the Heat to take sixth place among frontcourt players on Thursday, rising from eighth place in the first round of vote returns.

The starting guards for Boston have also advanced since the preliminary vote counts. Among backcourt players from the East, Jrue Holiday moved up to ninth place and Derrick White from eighth to seventh.

The top two teams in the East will square off against the Celtics (29-8) and a few probable All-Stars on Thursday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on their visit to Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and the Bucks (25-12) at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

More News update:

Guard Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves is still improving his clutch performances.

It was a display of advancement and contrast to watch Anthony Edwards and Jayson Tatum play for the Timberwolves on Wednesday in Boston.

Tatum and Edwards’ approaches to attack stood in stark contrast. Before opting for a difficult jumper, Edwards dribbled out the clock many times. That is, provided he isn’t double-teamed late in the shot clock, which frequently puts Minnesota in a predicament where they have to commit a turnover or a low-percentage, one-pass attempt.
