Surprisingly, the Jaguars activated wide receiver Christian Kirk off injured reserve on Saturday. After suffering a groin injury in Week 13, Kirk had his core muscles repaired. Although he is not guaranteed to play just yet, a return in less than five weeks would be remarkable, and his activation suggests the team thinks he is ready. Kirk hasn’t worked out much this week, but he might not be required to go back to a full complement of snaps right away. Although players frequently find it difficult to immediately open up to their maximum explosive speed, this doesn’t stop them from making valuable contributions.
