With four games scheduled over the next six days, the Celtics are about to embark on a very hectic scheduling period. Over the past two seasons, Horford has routinely rested at least one game in a back-to-back, and he’ll probably do it again against the Bucks or Timberwolves next week. For Boston, the good news is that Porzingis is not listed as injured for the last game of the back-to-back. In recent weeks, he has missed back-to-back games due to a calf and ankle ailment. He did, however, just play 27 minutes in a resounding victory over Utah on Friday, and the coaching staff has given him the all-clear to play in Indiana on Saturday.

Porzingis is eager for the matchup after sitting out Boston’s last loss against Indiana in the knockout round of the in-season tournament.

Porzingis remarked, “We know what kind of basketball they play.” We’ve already had a few encounters with them. or just one? Two. The Haliburton one. Haliburton is a different caliber of club, and we are familiar with their style of play. That is a dangerous squad if they are lightning fast, chaotic, like sprinting, laying screens, sneaking out, and making a lot of threes. This team has the ability to go off any night and be very difficult to stop. We need to exert a great deal of effort in containing those guys so they sense our defensive pressure. Once we accomplish that, I believe we’ll be fine.
