Houston Texans assert frequently halted security Off waivers a player.

The veteran safety Kareem Jackson was waived by the Denver Broncos the day before, and on Tuesday the Houston Texans announced that Jackson had been claimed off waivers.

A quad injury he suffered in the Texans’ Week 16 loss to the Cleveland Browns led to the starting safety Jimmie Ward being placed on injured reserve.

With two suspensions and numerous ejections this season, Jackson is currently having a rough time.

After Jackson illegally hit Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas in Week 2, Jackson was ejected. He hit Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave in Week 7, which resulted in his ejection and subsequent suspension. Jackson’s three-game suspension was subsequently lowered to just two games.

In Week 11, Jackson hit quarterback Joshua Dobbs of the Minnesota Vikings with his head lowered, earning him another suspension. Jackson was later given a four-game suspension by the NFL due to persistent infractions of player safety regulations.

In 201 games over his career, the 14-year safety has 952 tackles, 22 interceptions, and 110 pass deflections. Before signing a contract with the Broncos in 2019, Jackson lived in Houston for nine of those years. Now that Jackson is back in Houston, he and Texans coach DeMeco Ryans will be getting back together. Between 2010 and 2011, the two played together for the Texans.

Outside linebacker Denzel Perryman and two other players from the Texans are among the three players suspended for illegal hits this season. Paxton Steelers linebacker Damontae Kazee is the third player the NFL has suspended for an illegal hit.

ANOTHER UPDATE NEWS:

Cardboards-Texans injury report: Emari Demercado of Arizona is out on Sunday.

Due to his lack of practice on Friday, Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado will not play against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Linebacker Jesse Luketa rejoined practice fully on Friday after working out only on Thursday. He is not considered injured.

Fame running back for the Texans, Dameon Pierce, made a limited comeback to practice before being declared ineligible for Sunday’s game. Noah Brown, a wide receiver, is doubtful to play on Sunday after continuing to be injured.

Trystan Colon and D.J. Humphries, two offensive linemen for the Cardinals, are doubtful for Sunday due to their ongoing limitations.

This week, Arizona added another running back to its roster when they acquired Michael Carter from the New York Jets. Carter informed reporters that he would be prepared to go on Sunday in Houston despite not practicing on Thursday.

After missing the previous two games due to an injury, Pierce (ankle) was almost a 1,000-yard rusher for Houston in his rookie season. With 172 receiving yards against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Brown had a career-high day. Safety Jimmie Ward was absent from Houston’s practice for the third day in a row following his absence from the team’s game in Week 10.

Following his appearance on yesterday’s injury report as limited (hip), right tackle George Fant fully resumed practice. Meanwhile, linebacker Denzel Perryman will not play on Sunday due to a suspension.

Three players are doubtful for Sunday’s game: defensive end Dylan Horton, wide receiver Noah Brown, and defensive end Will Anderson Jr.
