The Rasul Douglas of the Green Bay Packers and the Buffalo Bills have been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
After playing for the Buffalo Bills in Week 17, former cornerback Rasul Douglas of the Green Bay Packers was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week. In Week 17, Buffalo defeated the New England Patriots 27–21.
Rasul Douglas had three pass deflections, two pick-offs of New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe, and a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown for the Buffalo Bills in the second quarter of that game.
Since being acquired by Buffalo at the NFL trade deadline by Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, Douglas has been a fantastic asset to the team’s defense. In Week 18, the Bills and the Packers are both battling for a spot in the playoffs.
Regarding Rasul Douglas’ victory this week, it marks the first time a cornerback for the Buffalo Bills has taken home the prize since TreDavious White did so in the 2019 campaign.
