Jazz-Heat Injury Report: a player , Butler, and Lowry’s Status Is Known

Jazz-Heat Injury Report: a player., Butler, and Lowry’s Status Is Known.

The Utah Jazz are as healthy as ever going into their NBA game on Saturday night against the Miami Heat, having battled an injury bug throughout the first part of their 2023–24 campaign. Utah enters the new year with a fully healthy roster and, for one of the rare occasions this season, no names on their injury report.

Prior to the game, the injury designations of both teams were made public. On the other hand, the Heat have some question marks next to a few of their names, while the Jazz appear healthy and ready to play:

The Heat might be hurting a little bit as they travel to Salt Lake City. Most notably, Jimmy Butler’s status for the Jazz game is uncertain due to a calf injury. He was ultimately ruled out of Miami’s Christmas Day game against the Philadelphia 76ers, which the team won 119-113.

Prior to tonight’s game, Josh Richardson, Jaime Jaquez, Kyle Lowry, and Butler are all doubtful. Having one or more of these players out of the starting lineup would be a significant loss for Eric Spoelstra because all three of these guys—Jaquez most recently—have been crucial to Miami’s success this season.

At 3 PM MT on Saturday, the Jazz and Heat will begin their early-morning game at the Delta Center.

One of the best point guards in Heat history, Goran Dragic, has reportedly decided to retire.

Retiring is among the Miami Heat’s greatest point guards ever. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic on Saturday, Goran Dragic will play a farewell game in Slovenia in August and announce his retirement from the NBA after 15 seasons. Before deciding to retire recently, Dragic did not sign with a team this season. He split last season between the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks.

The 37-year-old Dragic played for the Heat for seven seasons before being dealt to the Toronto Raptors in the offseason of 2021 as part of the Kyle Lowry trade. With nine field goals made, seven three-pointers made, three assists, and nine points, he is among the Heat’s all-time leaders in these categories.
