LATEST UPDATE: New York Jets quarterback promises to join Green Bay Packers soon.

Rodgers famously tore his Achilles just four plays into his Jets debut.
He spent the last 18 seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers.
DailyMail.com has all of the most recent international sports news.
During his regular-season interview on the Pat McAfee Show, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers stated that he still believes the Green Bay Packers will win the NFC North.

Rodgers rolled his eyes as McAfee started the Minnesota Vikings’ ‘SKOL’ chant before admitting he was ‘not delighted’ the Detroit Lions won the division for the first time in 30 years.

‘Even though I’m in New York, I really want the green and gold to win the North every year,’ Rodgers remarked on Tuesday.

‘However, [the Lions] have a decent football squad. Jared [Goff] had a terrific season, and obviously [Amon-Ra] St. Brown is an outstanding receiver… Jahmyr [Gibbs] had a great good year, and I’ve always admired Montgomery, the way he runs the ball, and his toughness.’

Rodgers played 18 seasons for the Packers before being dealt to the Jets this summer.

Green Bay selected Rodgers with the 24th overall pick in 2005 after he unexpectedly fell out of the first round.

Rodgers threw for 59,055 yards, 475 touchdowns, and 105 interceptions during his career in Green and Yellow.

He also won four MVP honors and the Super Bowl in 2010.

Rodgers’ first year in New York has been very different from his success in Green Bay, as he suffered a torn Achilles only four plays into his Jets debut.

Despite early season glimmers of hope, New York has crawled to a 6-9 record without Rodgers and has statistically been the worst offense in the entire NFL.
