SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Week 2 NFL preseason game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers was called off due to an injury in the second half.

On Saturday, August 19, the Packers hosted the Patriots at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

New England’s Isaiah Bolden was injured on a 3rd and 7 play from the Patriots’ 25-yard line with 10:38 left in the fourth quarter.

The game between the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers has been canceled due to mutual agreement between both parties.

The Patriots provided an update on Bolden shortly after the game ended.

“Patriots cornerback Isaiah Bolden sustained an injury during the fourth quarter of tonight’s game,” the Patriots announced on social media. “He had feeling in all his extremities, but has been taken to a local hospital for further tests and observation,”

By a score of 21-17, the Patriots were proclaimed the champions.

Bolden has three total tackles and two solo tackles prior to his injury.

Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills went into cardiac arrest during a regular-season game last season. The competition was called off for the evening and was not rescheduled for a later date.
