Sad News: The official NFL scout says the head coach of the Steelers needs to be dismissed.
Since 2007, Mike Tomlin has served as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ coach.
Following their Saturday 30–13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Pittsburgh Steelers are shaking their heads.
The Steelers are now 7-7 as a result of the loss, and they run a serious risk of losing their chances of making the playoffs. Additionally, the Steelers run the prospect of having their first losing season since hiring Mike Tomlin in 2008.
There has never been a hotter seat for Tomlin than it does now, and former NFL scout John Middlekauf things he should want it to get even hotter.
On the 3 and Out Podcast, Middlekauf stated, “I think that Mike Tomlin should want to be fired at this moment with where they are at.” It’s only a matter of time. I was let go twice. However, it’s the best thing I’ve ever experienced. went on to achieve greater success and financial gain in both instances. Now is the moment for break.
While Tomlin has been one of the league’s most successful coaches during his time in Pittsburgh, he hasn’t won a playoff game with the Steelers since the 2016 season. It’s clear that changes are needed to be made in the organization, but whether that means moving on from Tomlin is still up in the air.
If Tomlin gets fired, that won’t solve every problem the team has, but it may get the ball rolling that will get the Steelers out of the mediocre tier they are currently in.
Tomlin and the Steelers are back in action on Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
