Injury update: Wide receiver for the Dolphins is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Jets.

the Miami Dolphins’ standout wide receiver, might not be available for Sunday’s AFC East game against the New When Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel recently addressed the media, the situation of standout wide receiver Tyreek Hill was at the top of everyone’s minds. Regarding Hills’ availability for Sunday’s AFC East matchup against the New York Jets, McDaniel was unsure. However, he did formally declare that Hill would be dubious for this weekend. What’s more concerning is that McDaniel stated that Hill won’t be practicing today (Friday), missing a full week of drills Miami’s dynamic playmaker.McDaniel talked about how important each hour was to Hill’s recovery and how Miami’s quick wide out is making every effort to be ready for kickoff.

For him, literally, every hour is crucial. He has remained energetic throughout the entire season. I’ve never seen a guy who is already very good take a step like that. He spends twelve hours a day in this building, rehabilitating and learning everything that falls under his purview. He’s exerting all effort possible.

ng to make sure that when he’s on the field, he’s not at risk to further injury himself because he’s such an important part of our team.”

That makes it sound like Hill won’t be playing on Sunday, which would be a catastrophic blow to the Dolphins offense vs. a stingy Jets’ defense. With Hill out on Sunday, veteran Cedrick Wilson got an increase in snaps and touches. Will that be Miami’s plan this week? Or might we see more of Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft, Chase Claypool, and Robbie Chosen?

Still, none of those players are in the same stratosphere as Hill, who has been the best wide receiver in football this season. Many could argue that he’s the Most Valuable Player in the entire league, but that’s a coin flip between Hill and QB1, Tua Tagovailoa (IMO). Through 13 games, Hill has caught 97 of 132 targets for an NFL-best 1,542 yards (15.9 YPC) and 12 touchdowns. He’s getting closer to Calvin Johnson’s NFL record, but his long-term health for Miami’s playoff push ultimately matters most.

Hll spoke about the injury after Monday Night’s game.

“Man, it was a lot of agony. It was awful. I’ve clearly been suffering with ankle issues this season, so when it actually happened, my initial thought was, “Man, my ankle is gone.” When my adrenaline started to flow, I bolted off the field. After sitting for a bit, my body became rigid and I was in excruciating pain. I texted my wife as soon as I arrived at halftime, saying, “This (expletive) hurt.” She says something like, “You’d better get your ass back in that game, dawg,” and I need an ankle massage tonight. I said, “It’s okay.” Thus, I simply decided that it would hurt.

Although Cheetah would always rather play despite the discomfort, he will gladly comply if the coaching staff and trainers have different ideas.

“You know what, man, I never think about that.” I would never think about something like that. However, everytime I receive these scans, the trainers approach me and tell me, “Hey, Reek, you can sit out,” if they notice something in the scans. I comply. But I don’t want to miss out because I’m me. It’s just who I am to want to be able to support this squad in any manner that I can. All I want is to not miss any games.

Tyreek Hill is absolutely necessary for the Dolphins, especially in light of their disheartening loss to the Titans last week. But Miami should act morally and place the player on injured reserve if it will affect his availability for the remaining games of the season.
