In the Week 14 results that will greatly improve the Packers’ chances of making the playoffs.
The Packers can significantly increase their chances of making the playoffs in Week 14.
Last week, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, which was a big step toward the postseason.
With a 7th-seeded NFC, Green Bay goes into Week 14. The Packers have a chance to surprise everyone by making the playoffs in Jordan Love’s first season as the starting quarterback with a favorable five-game stretch ahead of them.
The Packers can significantly increase their chances in Week 14, even though they are currently 6-6 and far from guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
The playoff predictor from the New York Times indicates that the Packers have a 68 percent chance of qualifying after Thursday Night Football. If these five scenarios come to pass in Week 14, that percentage would increase to 82 percent.
Week 14 draft of the Packers playoff roster
Giants of New York are defeated by Green Bay Packers
First, we address the most apparent. Maintaining success is, of course, the best way for Green Bay to increase its chances of making the playoffs. The Packers would move to 7-6 with the win, and the Giants would be eliminated from the running. New York would move up to 5-8 with a loss, leaving Green Bay at 6-7. In contrast, a Packers victory would extend the two teams’ lead to three games.
While receiving assistance is wonderful, Green Bay is ultimately in charge of its own fate. If you continue to win, the playoff seeding will sort itself out.
Los Angeles Rams lose to the Baltimore Ravens
Although Lamar Jackson’s appearance on the injury report is concerning, the Ravens are strong favorites in this game. Though they have a more difficult schedule, the Rams and Packers are tied at 6-6. That includes the match against Baltimore on Sunday.
Los Angeles is losing the head-to-head tiebreaker to Green Bay. Additionally, a victory by Baltimore would give Matt LaFleur’s squad a one-game advantage over the Rams.
The Vikings and Packers are both 6-6 heading into Week 14; a third straight loss would put their hopes of making the playoffs in jeopardy, especially with two games against the Lions remaining. Las Vegas Raiders defeat Minnesota Vikings It’s unlikely that either team can catch the Detroit Lions for the NFC North title, leaving them to battle for the remaining wild-card spots.
Seahawks are defeated by 49ers in San Francisco.
Seattle, Los Angeles, Green Bay, and Minnesota are the four NFC teams with identical 6-6 records. Fortunately, this week’s game against the scorching 49ers is required of the Seahawks. The Niners come into this game fresh off a memorable victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, where they were defeated 31–13 two weeks prior.
Seattle has already dropped its last three games. San Francisco would love to win four straight for Green Bay.
New Orleans Saints lose to the Carolina Panthers
Although the Panthers have only won once this season, the Packers’ chances of making the playoffs would be enhanced if they were to double that total.
A Carolina victory would mean a lot because Green Bay leads New Orleans by one game and has the head-to-head tiebreaker. That would enable the Packers to separate themselves from the Saints on Monday night.
