A 21-year-old player has arrived with the Green Bay Packers today.
The Los Angeles Chargers, who play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, signed former Packers outside linebacker Justin Hollins off the New York Giants’ practice squad on Wednesday.
Hollins was claimed off waivers by the Packers last November. He returned to the team in 2023, making the 53-man roster out of training camp and appearing in four games before being released. On October 24, he joined the Giants practice squad and appeared in one game for the team.
Is there any concern that Hollins will provide the Chargers with valuable information about the Packers, either offensively or defensively?
“I don’t know,” LaFleur said on Wednesday. “I’m sure they could learn something from it.” Above all, I believe they are acquiring a very good football player. Justin Hollins is someone I greatly admire. They’ve already added another component to a strong pass rush.”
Over ten games with the Packers, Hollins had nine tackles, 2.5 sacks, and four quarterback hits.
Hollins will take the place of outside linebacker Chris Rumph II, who was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday.
Hollins will be wearing No. 58 for the Chargers if he plays on Sunday.
