The player from snooker legend, is now one of the oldest players to reach a century break at the age of 91.
The first player to be ranked as the World No. 1 in snooker history, Ray Reardon, has shown that class never fades, as evidenced by his flawless century break at the age of 91.
legend Ray Reardon, 91, has become one of the oldest players in history to hit a century break.
Reardon, who is affectionately known as ‘the Gentleman’, dominated snooker in the 1970s – winning six World Snooker Championship titles. And he was the first snooker player to be ranked as World No.1, after the system was introduced in 1976.
Even though it would take him five years to give up the top spot, he still proved his mettle by becoming the oldest World Champion ever in 1978. But in 2022, Ronnie O’Sullivan—whom he had coached earlier in his career—broke that record.
The legendary Welsh snooker player declared: “A hundred percent break, I couldn’t believe it.” Beat my age has always been my goal. received a few 70sa while back and was content with that.
Suddenly, though, I did it. 100. Could not believe what happened! I must be the only person in the world who has experienced a 100 break; there can’t be many, if any, people in their 90s who have done so. Unfortunately, now that I think about it, nobody from my snooker circuit is still active.
