Nottingham Forest could be a mystery club pursuing a ‘wonderful’ winger in the wake of Ross Wilson’s history.

Ryan Kent could be on his way to the Premier League in January, but is Ross Wilson interested in bringing him to Nottingham Forest?

Kent was signed by the Reds’ sporting director at Rangers, and with the winger set to move again, the question is valid.

The Reds may not be interested, but one Premier League club is eager to sign him when the transfer window reopens.

Last week, Turkish football journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu claimed that Fenerbahce are interested in loaning Kent out.

The player has had a slow start to the 2023/24 season, scoring just once in 14 appearances.

Sabuncuoglu believes that one club in England and one in Scotland are interested in the player who may leave Turkey temporarily.

Kent joined Fenerbahce from Rangers in the summer. The Glasgow giants let his contract lapse, allowing him to leave for free.

At this time, there is no word on whether Forest are interested in signing Kent in January.

Is Kent going to be useful at the City Ground?
From the standpoint of a supporter, this would be difficult to decipher.

On the one hand, the player would provide depth to the squad, but the club already has better options.

Kent is versatile enough to play on both sides of the field, and he’s also a good age at 27.

However, there is enough evidence to suggest that he does not significantly improve on the squad’s current options.

His time with the Rangers was quite successful. He assisted Steven Gerrard’s team in winning the Scottish Premiership and reaching the Europa League final with the Gers.

Kent appeared in 218 games for Rangers, scoring 33 goals and assisting on 56 others.

Kent is a favorite of Jurgen Klopp. He described him as ‘wonderful’ when the player was still trying to break into the Liverpool team.

Will Wilson make a move for Kent?
This is the multi-million dollar question. Naturally, Wilson may have a crush on Kent at Forest, but he may have moved on.

The sporting director has been in charge of some big-name signings at Forest, so he understands his role.

Kent is a capable footballer, but Wilson must decide whether he can justify bringing him in.

With Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi now in the squad, there is every reason to believe Wilson will not pursue Kent for a move to Forest.
