NEWS NOW: Reporter Says Lakers Might Want to Sign More Players From the Bulls

At some point during the season, the Chicago Bulls might be facing a fire sale.

Despite having a wealth of talent within their ranks, this team has repeatedly demonstrated that they are unable to compete on the same level as other Eastern Conference heavyweights.

In light of that, several teams may decide to focus on the Windy City in an effort to take advantage of this circumstance.

In addition, Jovan Buha of The Athletic notes that the Los Angeles Lakers may be interested in DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso in light of all the speculation regarding Zach LaVine’s possible trade target (via NBA Central).

Notably, as soon as Caruso left the building, the Lakers regretted letting him go.

They could use that kind of spark off the bench, and he’s one of the league’s best defensive players.

DeRozan, on the other hand, is in his last year of play and ought to be the most accessible.

Still, he’s a non-shooter playing next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, so unless he’s willing to come off the bench, which also wouldn’t make sense, the fit might not be right.

In any case, all indications suggest that this is the Bulls’ last chance to finish the job with this roster; if they don’t succeed, their roster by the end of the season may look very different.

The LA Lakers lost 125-110 to the Sacramento Kings, their first home loss of the NBA season. The Lakers lost the first three quarters of the game, which was their sixth in ten days. Although Anthony Davis has been dealing with an injury lately, he insisted that he had simply “played bad” and refused to attribute his poor performance to the complaint.

LA Lakers star Anthony Davis has refused to blame a hip injury for his underwhelming performance during Wednesday’s 125-110 defeat to Sacramento Kings.
Despite mounting a late comeback, the Lakers suffered their first defeat in three games and their first home loss of the season, with Darvin Ham’s side currently eighth in the Western Conference standings.
Although he only made nine of his nine shots while wearing a yellow jersey, Davis did not have his best performance in a yellow jersey. His 30-point performance against the Trail Blazers earlier in the week was a far cry from his nine points and nine rebounds.
Prior to the Lakers’ game against the Kings, there had been growing concerns about Davis’s fitness, with some reports suggesting he had injured his adductor. During the game, Davis gave up five turnovers, and his team gave the ball away 23 times. When asked about his performance, he said, “I’m not going to put it on anything… It was just missed shots. I just played like s*** tonight. It’s that simple.”
According to ESPN, Davis had left the court during the Lakers’ close 108-107 loss to the Miami Heat on November 7 due to spasms in his left hip. Davis has struggled with injuries since the start of the season.
The Lakers have had a busy schedule lately, with six games in ten days, including this week’s back-to-back games against the Kings and Grizzlies.
The power forward left the court in the second and third quarters of Wednesday’s game, seemingly limited in his movements due to the injury.
Regarding the injury, Davis stated, “I’m still treating it every day.” “Obviously, with the back-to-back, you don’t get that day to really go for it. Yet things are as they are.
“I get ready to play. I need to be more productive. Of course, I was still a little bothered by it, but I still had to go out there and perform my duties.
Nonetheless, Davis assured reporters that he would be “fine” to participate in Saturday’s game between his team and the Portland Trail Blazers.
During the Warriors vs. Timberwolves brawl, Draymond Green was given a five-match suspension and fined for headlocking Rudy Gobert.
Russell Westbrook and James Harden “cannot play together,” according to Charles Barkley, and Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs fall short once more.
