Lam Fightback Downs Fan – World Snooker
After trailing 1-3, world no. 68 Sanderson Lam overcame Fan Zhengyi, the previous winner of the European Masters, 4-3 to go to the BetVictor Scottish Open semifinals.
Lam is currently playing well and has already secured a spot in the International Championship for next week. The Englishman advanced to the BetVictor English Open last 32, where he also triumphed admirably over 2010 World Champion Neil Robertson.
Lam prevailed in an exchange on the last pink, depositing it and making a deft cut back black to secure his spot in Edinburgh after fighting back to force a decider.
Si Jiahui of China overcame a 3-1 deficit to defeat Tian Pengfei 4-3. In the final, Tian composed breaks of 71 and 50.
