Since making his debut in 2019, he has played in 43 games overall for six different clubs in the English Super League and Championship; five of those clubs were during loan periods.

According to Rugby League Live, Dean’s decision to sign with the North Queensland Cowboys is reportedly nearing completion.

This news follows reports that Dean attracted interest from multiple Australian clubs, with the Cowboys emerging victorious in their pursuit of his signature.

It is understood, though, that Dean will not be playing for the NRL first-grade team; instead, he will play for the Cowboys’ QLD Cup team, the Rugby League . He can now aim for an NRL debut later in the season.

As the next English player to play in Australia for the upcoming season, his reported signing will come after fellow countrymen Kai Pearce-Paul, Alex Young, Morgan Smithies, and Will Pryce arrive.

The newspaper also claimed that the halfback and his management company have the approval of the Super League team.

Currently representing Dean is one of the most well-known agents in the industry, Dave Peet, who also represents George Williams, a former playmaker for the Raiders.

Victor Radley and Tommy Makinson, England’s star duo, have raised serious concerns ahead of this weekend’s final Test match against Tonga.

England coach Shaun Wane acknowledged concerns about the players’ fitness prior to the match, citing Makinson’s injury-related absence from the second Test.

Should Radley be sidelined, it would be a severe blow against players like Addin Fonua-Blake, Moeaki Fotuaika, and Keaon Koloamatangi in the forward pack.

Leading the forward pack and lining up in the middle of the field with Matty Lees and Thomas Burgess, the lock has been outstanding.

Coach Shaun Wane of England stated, “We had a few kinks in training from the first test, and I thought the second test would be brutal, so if we came unstuck with a few players, we were in trouble.”

When I called Smithies and Thewlis, they were eager to get involved even though they were only there as a backup.

Victor, without a doubt. We’ll check on him tomorrow, but apart from that, everyone is just a bit sore, as I imagine they are in the Tonga camp. It’s his groin.

“I’m not sure (if Makinson is fit). I spoke to the physio this morning, and Tommy’s wrist is a bit off. He’s not in the camp at the minute, he’s at home,

The news exacerbates England’s injury concerns as speedster Dominic Young, a recent addition to the Sydney Roosters, was admitted to the hospital due to an infection, and Morgan Knowles (thumb injury) pulled out of the starting lineup.

Josh Thewlis and Morgan Smithies have both been called up to the squad for the third Test at Headingley, it was announced.

The former, who has been compared to Elliott Whitehead, recently inked a three-year contract with the Canberra Raiders, starting in the 2024 campaign.

Morgan Smithies told NRL.com, “I spent a week in Paphos at my mate’s wedding.”

Brad Singleton, with whom I had previously played at Wigan, was there. I came in from vacation after Waney called to tell me he wanted me to come to camp.

“It was Mad Monday and then it was right into that, so I relaxed a little, stopped drinking, and started running a little more after I got the call from Waney.”
