Bob Knight, a former basketball player for Ohio State, died yesterday at the age of 83. His most well-known accomplishments are his three national championships and his four decades of coaching Indiana. Prior to all of that, he was a member of the Ohio State basketball team.
It is well known that Knight left behind a complex legacy as we reflect on his life. On the one hand, IU supporters will always adore him as a legendary coach. However, he was kicked out of the programme for physically abusing a player in front of cameras.
Knight picked up basketball skills while playing at Ohio State for Fred Taylor. His coaching style was shaped by the values he acquired while a Buckeye. Before joining the Hoosiers, he would go on to coach at Army. He was a coach at Texas Tech as well.
Your values will determine how you remember Knight. You will remember Knight with affection if you are concerned with how coaches and players win games and championships and nothing else counts. However, the majority of Ohio State Buckeyes are not aware of Knight’s playing career.
The majority of Buckeye supporters will recall Knight as a harsh coach who mistreated his players and frequently defeated them. However, those same players will claim that they appreciated his strict coaching methods. As a human being and a basketball coach, you have a difficult legacy to leave behind.Regarding my memory of Knight, I will recall him as someone who was adored by everyone in my state. Because I’m from Indiana, IU sports are the best. Bobby Knight was adored by all, even after he was let go. I will also recall him as occasionally being too flamboyant for his own good.

Buckeye Bits are optimistic about Ohio State’s run game and their (finally) healthy offence.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Throughout the season, Ohio State’s run game has been a topic of discussion and frustration; however, their performance against Wisconsin on Saturday may have marked the beginning of progress.
The most rushing yards the Buckeyes had received from a single rusher all season came from running back TreVeyon Henderson, who finished with 162 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. And it happened in the eighth game of the season for the team. Could things be about to get better?
The offence is predicated on that.

“We felt like we executed a lot better,” guard Donovan Jackson said. “We knew that one of things that Wisconsin prides itself on is their physical toughness on both sides of the ball, so we knew that it was going to be a battle. We got the shots we wanted, we got the looks we wanted. Coach Day was like, ‘Keep your pad level low and run off the ball,’ and I feel like we did that pretty well.”
Jackson credited Henderson with getting north-and-south very quickly, and in his first game back since the game against Notre Dame on Sept. 23, the Buckeyes saw what they’d been missing.
The Buckeyes’ run game, which had only had a 100-yard rusher once this season (against Notre Dame), has just three games left to improve before the season finale against Michigan. Saturday against the Badgers, though, was what they’re hoping is a start.
Regarding his candidature for the Heisman Trophy, Marvin Harrison Jr. stated on Wednesday, “As a receiver, you definitely understand it’s a long shot to win the Heisman.” That was, of course, in the past. Although I feel privileged to be a part of the discussion, I’m not really concentrating on that right now. The regular season has four games remaining. We still have all of our objectives ahead of us. That purpose? Get the Big Ten title by defeating Michigan.
