NEWS NOW: Aaron Jones and the rest of the Green Bay Packers are back at practise on Thursday.

Following a few weeks of dealing with injuries, Aaron Jones, the running back, returned to practise for the Green Bay Packers on Thursday. It’s encouraging news for Green Bay ahead of their Sunday game against the 3-5 Los Angeles Rams that no one was listed as injured on Thursday’s injury report.

The Packers’ season has been derailed by injuries, as evidenced by their 2-5 record thus far. In order to snap this four-game losing streak, Aaron Jones will need to produce more than seven carries and four receptions on Sunday against the Rams.

Jones has had hamstring problems the entire season, and it’s likely that he will continue to have them for the remainder of the Packers’ NFL regular season in 2023. Not only does the offence need to run the ball more, but Jordan Love, the quarterback, and the offensive line have also had difficulties this year.

It’s a good thing that Aaron Jones is attending Green Bay Packers practises, and head coach Matt LaFleur needs to utilise him more.

Jones needs to see more touches if he plays against the Rams on Sunday and things go that way. If not, his brother will become enraged once more, along with irate Packers supporters. For this football team, having more Jones is a good thing. It seems like a lifetime ago, but he injured his hamstring against the Chicago Bears in Week 1, and it hasn’t been the same since.

AJ Dillon hasn’t produced in a few seasons and isn’t very good. Additionally, rookie running back Emanuel Wilson is not trusted in the backfield by head coach Matt LaFleur.

It’s also a plus for the Packers that cornerback Jaire Alexander is back at practise. Alexander had a back injury last week, which kept him out of the Minnesota Vikings game. This season, the injury has also kept Alexander out of a few games. Jaire Alexander and Aaron Jones should not be on the injury report on Friday, hopefully.

Y6Packers quarterback Justin Fields is facing similar concerns as the Bears.

Packers quarterback concerns are comparable to Bears’; Justin Fields first appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

This is the first time in more than 20 years that the Packers are in new, unfamiliar territory.

doubting Jordan Love’s ability as their quarterback.

The Chicago Bears have always been acquainted with that area. Packers, how would you feel if you had to walk a mile in the Bears’ shoes? Do you think you can wait until the next season to decide whether or not he’s the one for you?

“I hope not,” general manager Brian Gutekunst stated on Wednesday for the Packers.

“I believe we have ten games remaining. These ten games will be crucial ones.”

Similar to the Bears with Justin Fields, the Packers are still deciding if Love is the right player for them. Like the Bears, they have the entire next season to make a decision.

The next season will be Fields’ last under his rookie contract. In addition, Love’s contract with the Packers comes to an end. In May 2023, the team decided to extend it by one year. In order to spread out their 2024 cap and lessen the impact of Aaron Rodgers’ dead cap mess, they gave Love a pay increase for the 2023 season.

Their rosters provide yet another hilarious parallel between the quarterback situations of the Bears and Packers. The Packers are hesitant to evaluate Love while the talent surrounding him is still below par, much like they were with Fields in 2021.

Bears fans, I’ve been there, done that.

“When the group as a whole is not functioning the way it should function, then it’s hard to evaluate anybody,” Gutekunst stated. “At the same time, we have an obligation to correct that so that we can proceed and assess the men in that room.” However, it’s difficult to evaluate anything when we’re not clicking.”

Both the general manager and the head coach of the Packers subscribe to that same school of thought.

“I think in order to do that, I think everybody’s got to play better around him, quite frankly,” LaFleur stated on Monday. Is there anything he can do more effectively? Certainly. He would probably be the first to inform you. Are there any staff-level actions we can take to support our guys? Certainly. And then we have to write the plays when they need to be written.”

Let’s look back on 2021 from the Bears’ point of view.

It was a terrible roster. Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet led a woeful receiving core. There were young guys, inexperienced players, and gap-filling veterans all over the trenches. Actually, you could say that about the entire roster.
