BREAKING NEWS: Liverpool attacker misses out against bournemouth…

Team News: Liverpool’s Luis Diaz will not play against Bournemouth.

Luis Diaz, an attacker for Liverpool, is not included in the Reds’ lineup for their EFL Cup fourth-round match against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.

The Colombian international, who missed the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest over the weekend shortly after the news broke, will now miss a second straight game as a result of his parents’ abduction in their native country.

Although Diaz’s mother has been located and his father is being searched for and rescued, the former Porto resident was cautioned against travelling to Colombia for his own safety.

Nevertheless, only Kostas Tsimikas, Mohamed Salah, and Dominik Szoboszlai remain in the starting lineup after Jurgen Klopp made eight changes from the win over Forest.

In the front three for the visitors, it appears that Szoboszlai will join Salah and the reinstated Cody Gakpo, and Curtis Jones, who served a three-game domestic suspension, will start in the middle of the field.

Following his team’s victory over Burnley over the weekend, Cherries manager Andoni Iraola has made three changes to his starting lineup: Adam Smith, Milos Kerkez, and Justin Kluivert.

Marcos Senesi, the Argentinean defender, is only listed as a substitute despite having recovered from the injury that kept him out of the match against the Clarets.

Bournemouth: Solanke; Christie, Semenyo, Kluivert; Scott, Billing; Radu; Smith, Mepham, Zabarnyi, Kerkez;
Subs: Moore, Brooks, Ouattara, Tavernier, Aarons, Senesi, Rothwell, Traore, and Plain

Liverpool: Elliott, Endo, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Szoboszlai; Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimikas; Kelleher

AdrianDespite Mohamed Salah’s surprise and eight changes, Liverpool’s team news against Bournemouth is confirmed.

Liverpool has announced that X changes have been made to their roster for the Carabao Cup match against Bournemouth. What our three writers would have done is evident.

Jürgen Klopp has announced that his team will play Bournemouth this evening in an attempt to secure Liverpool’s spot in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals. The Reds have travelled a considerable distance to the south coast, where they hope to build on their strong start to the season.

As anticipated, Klopp made his team’s adjustments after Sunday’s Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest. Despite making eight changes to his team, the Liverpool manager has selected a potent front line.

After sustaining an injury during the contentious loss at Tottenham at the end of September, Cody Gakpo makes his first start since returning. Surprisingly, Klopp decides not to rest Mohamed Salah this time around, so he too starts.

Among the players making a comeback to the team are Wataru Endō, Joël Matip, Curtis Jones, and Harvey Elliott. Kostas Tsimikas and Dominik Szoboszlai keep their positions from the previous weekend.

The Liverpool team against Bournemouth is: Endō, Szoboszlai, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Elliott; Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimikas.

Despite an unfortunate loss to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup right after the World Cup break last season, Liverpool has advanced rather easily this time around thanks to some better draws. Newcastle United has already eliminated Pep Guardiola’s team.

Liverpool is the clear favourite to win the competition now that City is out, but if Arsenal defeats West Ham United, it might also have a serious chance. But Jürgen Klopp ought to be recognising a chance.

Some of our writers from Liverpool.com offered their opinions on Klopp’s starting lineup before tonight’s match. Check out our proposed lineup and how it stacks up against the confirmed lineup.

Starting with Matt Addison, Dominik Szoboszlai
The Liverpool team will see changes, but advancement should still be possible for the Reds. Gakpo should start because he hasn’t really played much, and Kelleher will be in goal. Wataru Endō and Harvey Elliott will almost certainly be involved as well, and Curtis Jones is back from suspension and in relatively good shape.

Joe Gomez will play right back, while Jarell Quansah and Joël Matip will play in the middle. Luke Chambers can take Kostas Tsimikas’ place at left back after he plays for an hour. In the middle of the pitch, Dominik Szoboszlai can outplay Ryan Gravenberch with Endō and Jones because he is a tireless player. However, against Nottingham Forest, the former Bayern Munich player appears jaded.

Harvey Elliott can play on the right side of the attack, while Darwin Núñez starts (again, over Diogo Jota, just because the Portuguese player started the previous two games) and Gakpo plays on the left. Even without Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah for the evening, that is a formidable squad.

Kelleher, Gomez, Matip, Quansah, Tsimikas; Szoboszlai, Endō, Jones; Elliott, Núñez, Gakpo make up my starting lineup.

Liverpool is predicted to win 2-1.

One thing to observe is Liverpool’s level of seriousness about the match.
