While Liverpool’s summer recruits have begun to settle in nicely at Anfield, more will need to be done in the coming transfer windows to ensure that Jürgen Klopp’s team continues to improve.

A defender, in particular, appears to be an imminent priority, with Liverpool having failed to find anyone of adequate quality who was available to go in the summer.
