Dier, on the other hand, has been shelved by new manager Ange Postecoglou and is not in the management’s plans.

With his role at Tottenham reduced, Dier will look for a new club in January. Spurs could complete a January deal for him in order to prevent losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

Mick Doherty, a scout for Manchester United, has opted to leave the club.

According to Alan Nixon, Doherty has already given his notice and will be leaving his position at the London Stadium.

Doherty has worked with David Moyes for several years, and his departure will undoubtedly be a big blow to the West Ham boss. The pair had previously worked together at Everton, and Moyes wanted him to assist West Ham in identifying rising talents and developing jewels in the transfer market.

West Ham have an impressive group, but they need to improve even more if they wish to compete in Europe on a consistent basis.

They will need to bring in excellent players, but their budget is limited. Signing talented young players on modest fees is a sustainable way of growing the squad, and Moyes hoped Doherty could assist him in this area.

It will be fascinating to see if West Ham can sufficiently replace him now.
