Sander Berge’s time away from Sheffield United has not gone well thus far.

Sheffield United departs in the summer After moving to Burnley, a rival Premier League team, Sander Berge has been included on WhoScored’s list of the worst signings ever.
Four players from Burnley made the list of the worst-performing new signings from the first eight games of the 2023–24 season, according to WhoScored’s statistically supported ratings methodology.
Paul Heckingbottom, the manager of Bramall Lane, was “hugely disappointed” with Berge’s decision to switch to Turf Moor, therefore he is one of those. We did not want to lose Sander, especially so close to the start of the Premier League season, but after the player expressed a strong interest in leaving, we spoke to Burnley to get the best deal for Sheffield United, said Blades CEO Stephen Bettis at the time.
We would like to express our gratitude for his contribution over the past three and a half years and regret that he and his representatives have decided to move to Burnley.
