A BBC pundit has praised the ‘aggressiveness’ of Glen Kamara at Leeds United and highlighted a particular area where he outshines Ethan Ampadu…

According to Leigh Bromby, speaking on BBC Radio Leeds on October 7th, Glen Kamara possesses passing abilities that Ethan Ampadu does not have in his repertoire at Leeds United.

Bromby commended Kamara’s tenacity in attempting to regain possession and commended his impressive pressing skills. He also suggested that the Finnish international’s qualities might compensate for any passing shortcomings on the part of Ethan Ampadu, indicating that the two midfielders can complement each other effectively.

Bromby stated, “I think today he knitted a lot together. His determination to win the ball back, his aggressiveness in trying to win the ball back, and his ability to set up the press were all noteworthy. His passing abilities exceeded what Ampadu can offer.”

Despite initial doubts about Kamara’s impact at Elland Road, given his previous spell at Rangers, which ended on questionable terms, the 27-year-old has since become a crucial component of Daniel Farke’s midfield.

Kamara’s passing skills have transitioned effectively from the Scottish top flight to the English second division. According to FBRef, Kamara boasts a 90.3% passing accuracy, ranking him as one of the top performers at Leeds. His short passing accuracy of 94.7% places him third in this metric among Leeds players.

Ethan Ampadu has also proven to be a valuable summer signing for Leeds, having had more time to settle into the squad than Kamara. Ampadu has established himself as one of the first names on Farke’s team sheet, logging some of the most minutes on the squad.

While Ampadu may not currently match Kamara’s passing precision in the midfield, he is only 23 years old and is expected to continue developing, especially with experienced professionals like Kamara as mentors.

In other news related to Leeds United, Phil Hay has reported that prominent European clubs have been monitoring a Leeds player for a while and remain interested in signing him.
